Client Overview
A newly constructed, high specification office developments sharing a common site on the Silverlink Business Park to the east of Newcastle. The development was of speculative construction and were completed in 2005.
In 2007, Cobalt 16 underwent modifications to become the main office administration headquarters for North Tyneside Council. Purpose-built council chambers were added to the ground floor and additional office space was also incorporated to the remaining three floors. The site was also adapted to incorporate the council’s main computer and data centre.
Directly employed staff are supported by specialist service contracts for goods & passenger lifts, catering equipment servicing, refrigeration equipment servicing and standby generator servicing.

Cobalt 16 provides office space (GIA) of approximately 10,000 m2. Hard FM Services including;
- Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance
- Grounds & Garden Maintenance
- Lifecycle Management (for the concession period)
- Energy/Environmental Management
- 24-hour helpdesk
