Project Overview

GFM is currently responsible for the running of the following services across 5 Anglo American sites in the North East and Yorkshire:

• Health & Safety Maintenance
• Insurance & Statutory Inspections
• Forward Maintenance Plan
• PPM
• Building Fabric & Services
• Portable Appliance Testing
• Help Desk

Overcoming Challenges

The maintenance of all systems on all sites, simultaneously, was of paramount importance to Anglo American. We work hand in hand with the client, leveraging our experienced, local team to ensure all PPMs and reactive tasks are completed as swiftly as possible with the minimal amount of fuss and disruption to day-to-day site operations.

Lessons Learnt

• Since our site manager handles all day-to-day tasks (e.g. PPMs), our contract manager can focus on holistic project oversight and the project management of any larger, ad-hoc capital works.
• Our project coordinator has been crucial to project success, as they manage all the sub-contractors working on site and ensure smooth collaboration with our directly-employed team members.
